Cave Poodle
The Cave Poodle

Watercolor, Charcoal, Coffee on handmade Indian paper
8" x 6"
2005

This Primitive Poodle painting was inspired by the gorgeous cave art of pre-history, particularly that seen in Lascaux, France. Imagine, 17,000 to 35,000 years ago, the Prehistoric Cave Poodle living near the primitive peoples of the world, perhaps seen in the distance as a wooly white hunter or even living side by side as a canine companion...this might be how an ancient artist would have represented the Poodle on the walls of their home.
