The Pear Fairy The Pear Fairy

Watercolor and Ink
2.5" x 3.5"
2005

Faerie of both the pear fruit and those with pear-shaped figures, this little fey is observed here over-seeing some of the fruit under her supervision. When not involved in the orchard, this little pixie acts as guardian of women and a few men blessed with wide hips and narrow shoulders, and tries her best to inspire human clothing designers to make flattering garments for those in her charge. Clothing designers, being notoriously smitten with more root-vegetable figures, tend to ignore her encouragements.
